Terms of Service

ESL Forge lets English teachers generate classroom-ready PowerPoint games from textbook lessons or their own custom word and sentence lists. Some features are free; premium features are available through the Pro subscription described below.

Certain features require an account. When you create one:

• You must be at least 14 years old.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred.

The Pro plan costs ₩7,500 per month (VAT included) and unlocks the premium features marked as Pro on the site. The price and what is included are always shown before you subscribe.

Pro is a monthly subscription that renews automatically. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your registered payment method the monthly fee on each renewal date until you cancel. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never store your card number.

If a renewal charge fails, we will retry and notify you by email. If payment cannot be collected, your premium access may be paused until payment succeeds.

If we change the subscription price, we will ask you to agree to the new price at least 30 days before it applies. We will never charge you more than the amount you have agreed to. If you do not agree, your subscription will not renew: you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. You can agree at any time before then to keep your subscription running.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep premium access until then, and you will not be charged again.

Under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, you may withdraw from a purchase within 7 days of payment and receive a full refund of that charge, provided you have not downloaded a game during that period. A downloaded game is delivered in full and cannot be returned, so downloading any game while subscribed ends the 7-day full-refund right for that charge. Browsing the site, building a game without downloading it, and changing your account settings do not affect your refund right. Requests outside this are reviewed individually and we may still refund at our discretion.

• Within 7 days of a charge and no game downloaded: full refund of that charge.
• After the 7-day window, or once any game has been downloaded in the period: the current period is not refunded; cancelling stops all future charges.
• If the service was unavailable or defective due to our fault, we will refund you as required by law.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 3 business days of your request. Your card issuer may take a few more days to show the reversal on your statement. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

Materials you generate with ESL Forge (such as PowerPoint games) may be used freely for teaching in your classroom and within your school. You may not resell the generated files or the service itself, or redistribute them as your own product.

Textbook titles, lesson text, and related materials belong to their respective publishers and are used for educational reference; see our Copyright Notice for details.

Files you upload to My Games stay yours. By uploading one, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and you allow ESL Forge to store it and use it only to build your games. Uploaded files are private to your account and are not shown to other users. We may remove an uploaded file if we receive a credible claim that it infringes someone's rights. Deleting a game deletes its file.

When using the service, you must not:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service, or access it with automated scraping tools.
• Reverse engineer or copy the service, or build a competing product from its data.
• Share one account among multiple users to avoid subscription fees.

We are constantly improving ESL Forge and may add, change, or remove features. The service is provided 'as is'; to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under Korean law, including liability for intent or gross negligence.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with prior notice where feasible. You may delete your account at any time from account settings. Payment records are retained for 5 years after a transaction as required by Korean commerce law, even if the account is deleted.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be resolved by the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act; you may also seek mediation through the Korea Consumer Agency or the Electronic Commerce Dispute Mediation Committee.

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes — including anything affecting pricing, billing, or refunds — we will give at least 30 days notice by email or a site notice; other changes take effect 7 days after being posted. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means the updated Terms apply to you.
